Small Blessings Early Childhood Development Center accepts school aged children aged 5 to 12 years into our after school program. The program commences at 1:30 p.m. each day throughout the school year.
Small Blessings programming follows NB PLAYS! which is a New Brunswick led after school initiative developed by Recreation New Brunswick and the Department of Healthy and Inclusive Communities. It promotes a blended approach to programming with the goal of healthy, holistic development for children and youth.
NB PLAYS! highlights key elements of quality after school programming:
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - physical literacy, outdoor play, inclusive activity, active transportation and more! HEALTHY EATING - nutrition labeling, gardening, cooking, fun recipes and more! COMMUNITY STRENGTHS - partnerships, volunteering, culture, music and dance and more! LEARNING EXPERIENCES -experiential learning, storytelling, play-based learning and more!
Registration is scheduled for the two weeks following March Break for the upcoming school year. Once registered, your registration form becomes the official contract for the applicable school year.
Our fee schedule is designed to cover Anglophone East and Francophone Sud school closures due to storms, scheduled PD days, March Break and Christmas Holidays. Private schools are not covered unless these days are aligned to Anglophone East and Francophone Sud. Any other days are subject to a full day rate.
On school cancellation days, scheduled PD days, March Break and Christmas Holidays your child will be required to bring their own lunch. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided by our kitchen.
